the good news is...
"the good news is that...there is no bad news"
Leonard and Dicky laying in the path of the motorcycle jump. "The lakes" & "Big Mo" in the mid 1960s.
Unknown rider of Honda scrambler.
These guys were into being "wild & crazy" before being "wild & crazy" was cool!
Dicky with head turned left, eyes shut, cringe look on his face and Leonard with "eyes wide open" with a big smile on his face.

ReplyDeleteThis morning I was prompted by another website to 'Google; Leonard and found to my dismay that he had passed on. While I can't say that I really knew him well, he was one of those guys who was really friendly to us youngters back in Victoria in the late 60's. I remember him as a gentle giant whose heart was in the right place.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the jump at the lakes brought back some memories of an old '66 cb160 scrambler purchased from Coppertop McFarland at Honda of Victoria on Red River. The rider shall remain nameless.
You guys have done an excellent job of keeping Leonards' memory alive. On my next visit home to visit my parents gravesite I'll stop by to visit Leonard.
Much respect,
Old Gringo
